Coconut Shrimps

1 egg

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2/3 cup beer

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

2 cups flaked coconut

24 shrimp

3 cups oil for frying


Mix together the egg, half coup of flour, beer and baking powder into a bowl.

Then add one fourth of a coup of flour and coconut in a separate bowl.

Cover the shrimp with flour, removing the excess quantity by shaking them, after which dip them in the beer batter.

Then roll the shrimps in coconut and place them on wax paper.

After staying in the fridge for half an hour, fry shrimps in oil heated at 350 degrees

until golden brown and serve the with your favorite sauce.
